Sydney, Australia-based ITV software developer, itv|world, plans
to release the 2nd generation of In|Orbit, its scheduling and automation
product suite for ITV, on October 1st (note: the 1st generation
of the product was unveiled at the Broadcast Asia show in June).
The product consists of 2 tools: In|Orbit Control, designed to improve
operational efficiency for network operators who control their own
head-end and play-out infrastructure; and In|Orbit Remote, which
allows network operators to allocate permissions and grant privileges
on the broadcast platform to broadcasters who want to schedule and
update their own ITV applications. The company says that the new
implementation provides support for application verification and
approval, remote updating of content, multiple head-end configuration/integration,
and GUI and SI updating.
